The member question inbox
/app/messagesAnswering members, and using the drafted reply without letting it answer for you.
Members can ask the club a question from their phone. It arrives here as a thread. You reply, they see it in their portal, and the conversation stays in one place instead of across three people's voicemail.
Answering
- 1Open Member questions and pick a thread.
- 2Type a reply and send it. The member sees it immediately.
- 3Close the thread when it's done. Closed threads stay readable.
The drafted reply
Fairway can draft an answer for you from what it knows about your club — your hours, your tee sheet, your events, your menu. The draft appears in the box for you to edit.
A draft is a draft. Nothing goes to a member until a person reads it and presses send, and every draft is labelled as one. If the draft is wrong, discard it — that's a normal outcome, not a failure.
What it's good and bad at
- Good: 'what time does the kitchen close', 'when is the member-guest', 'is the course open' — questions your own data already answers.
- Bad: anything about somebody's account, a dispute, or a decision the club hasn't made yet. Write those yourself.
Questions
Can members see each other's questions?
No. A thread is between one member and the club.
Does the member get an email?
They see replies in their portal. Whether they also get an email depends on how your club is set up for sending mail.
Tell us what's missing and we'll write it. Help that doesn't cover the thing you came for isn't help.
