Adding your club to your home screen so it opens like any other app.
On an iPhone
- 1Open your club's address in Safari — it has to be Safari for this to work.
- 2Tap the share button at the bottom (the square with the arrow).
- 3Scroll down and tap 'Add to Home Screen'.
- 4Tap Add. Your club's logo is now an icon on your home screen.
On an Android phone
- 1Open your club's address in Chrome.
- 2Tap the three dots in the corner.
- 3Tap 'Install app' or 'Add to Home screen'.
- 4Confirm. The icon appears with your other apps.
Why bother
It opens full screen with no browser bars, it remembers you're signed in, and it's one tap from the ninth tee when you want a drink at the turn.
Questions
Does it take up space like a real app?
Almost none. It's a shortcut with a bit of storage behind it, not a download.
Will it send me notifications?
Only if you allow it, and only for things you'd want — like your food order being ready.
